Where are the apartments that allow pit bulls in Memphis,TN?

I'm a college student and I work at an animal shelter. I'm ready to move out from my parents house and into my own apartment by myself. I have a favorite at the shelter that is soo outgoing, sweet, and friendly with people. The only thing is she's a pit bull mix. Her face looks like a pit bull but she's really short with itty bitty feet. I want to adopt her but I can't find an apartment in memphis that allows pit bulls. Does anyone know where I can find one, that's not in a bad neighboorhood? Thanks in advance!
