My Phone wont allow certain applications to complete downloading?

I have a Motorola Cliq 2. When I am trying to download or update certain applications from the mobile market they will say "download unsuccessful" even in a 3g network or through Wi-Fi. Its becoming extremely aggrivating and i'd like to fix it before attempting to take it back to T-Mobile if possible.
