What to do at a kid's birthday party?

my daughter will be 8 in a month. She is starting to get quite a social life an today was the 3rd party shes been to in about 2months, plus i tried to through her a party last yr which was unsuccessful. I have no single parent/parent friends. i need advice. do i jus drop her off? stay? or what? i pay? dont pay?
