Are you surprised when you see a teen you've known since they were little, pregnant?

My "niece"-(my kids' cousin, who I knew since she was seven)-got pregnant when she was 14 or 15. I did not congratulate her. I asked her mom if she wanted me to whoop her after she had the baby. The "baby" is now 6 years old, and she's having another kiddo, if she hasn't had the baby already.
